It’s an anti platelet drug used as a blood thinner. It’s designed to stop you getting clots and reduce stroke risk etc.

Well said! We often use it along with aspirin after some sort of cardiac event like a heart attack
A nice Cardiac nurse told me it’s ‘to make the blood more slippy’. I thought that word explained it v well.

In the nicest possible way I really don't like the word 'slippy'! But essentially yes, it helps to prevent blood clots
