Blood Sugars And Heart Attacks

I have been advised that either very low or very high blood sugars (I am diabetic) can cause a heart attack. particularly when they are already compromised. The former causes stress on the body and the latter thicker sticky blood. Just wondering if any one else had been told this. It makes sense but never had it stated before.
