Hole in the heart.

Has anyone else here, diagnosed with a hole in the heart that requires surgery, experienced phases of irregular heart beats/palpitations? I do get breathless on occasions but find the palpitations hard to deal with. Thank you.

I have hole in heart too. Key hole surgery failed march last year and currently been waiting 6 months for open heart operation to cover 14mm hole

Sometimes i do but tiredness and mood swings are most but i have noticed a slight loss of sight too

I was diagnosed with hole in the heart just last year in Sept 17.

While being written up and Bombarded with lots of tests for open heart surgery for a severely leaking Mitral valve with regurgitation.

1st Feb 18 I had the open heart ♥ surgery when both the hole and valve were successfully repaired.

I’ve had surgery for a hole in my heart but as my valve is dodgy my hole reforms so that means it has to be repaired again wen it Reforms.

My recovery going reasonably well I'm off to hospital today for second cardiac Rehabilitation session so exercising while attached to heart monitor with cardiac nurse.

Some slight pain still in sternum but can manage without pain killers.

Had a slight hiccup at 5 weeks after the op. While lying in bed heart just decided to do its own thing!!! 😮Lol 😂

148-188 beats per min, missing beats and fluttering!!!

Taken into hospital by ambulance 🚑 kept in for 3 days but all sorted now.

Hopefully back on track.

Surgeon was happy with me at week 8.

Oh wow, that sort of thing I've experienced and freaks me out! Glad you are on the right road though, it does seem to take a while to get back to 'normal' whatever that is! Best wishes on a continued positive recovery.
