I am not finding this site easy to negotiate (and I thought I was IT savy) Anyway, I would like to thank all of those kind respondents that reassured me that I would survive to tel the tale! They were right! I have! Single bypass on Friday at the RHI in Bristol, whom I cannot praise highly enough. Discharged Tuesday after having my 4 day checks, and here I am back to normal, cooking, cleaning and waiting on the definitely lazy worse half, limited only by what I can lift! Minimal pain, controlled with codeine and/or paracetamol and now that I can sleep or get up in the middle of the night if I wish I can catch up on some rest (yep, noisy hospitals only work for insomniacs that can lie in bed happily). Thanks again to all. And all good wishes to all site users. Vicky.

Glad your on the mend but don't overdo it. You need your rest.
Great to hear that all went well. However, it is the ‘lazy worse half’ who should be doing the cooking and cleaning and you who should be waited upon. I know it’s great to feel ‘normal’ but you have just had major invasive surgery. Do not under estimate how much that takes out of you. Don’t over do things and get the lazy one doing something 😉
Well done enjoy and look after youself
Hi so pleased you are on the mend and doing well. I think you should be spoilt a bit until you are gradually back to your normal capabilities . Best wishes going forward X
Brilliant to hear you are doing well. As others have said don’t do too much. Small steps. Stay strong. Zx
