I just had an allergy patch test done as I'm allergic to some adhesives and I realise bio glue will be used in my op (mechanical aortic valve and ascending aorta replacement). And turns out I'm allergic to nickel (and a component of some adhesives). Worried that the metal wire and valve itself might contain nickel. It's the weekend now so can't contact cardio nurse. Anyone been in similar situation?

You will need to relay your worries to your cardiac nurse on Monday as there are many different types of mechanical valves on the market. The main body of the valve would usually be made of stainless steel, titanium or pyrolytic carbon. Valves have other components that may be made of plastic(s). The cardiac surgeon may have to confer with the manufacturers if there is any doubt and, I imagine, might even recommend a tissue valve.
The wire used to close your sternum will be stainless.
