I have been sent many pages of results from my 24 hour holter monitor. Under conclusion it says:
Sinus rhythm with rare ectopy. Rare VEs seen as singles.
From my own research I think this means it's all normal but thought I'd just check that I don't need to see a doctor?
Also I had this test done because of feeling strong heartbeats. I didn't particular think my heart was beating too fast it was more the strength and pounding of each beat. Can this test look at the strength of each beat or just the speed/rhythm? It just doesn't feel right!
Thanks in advance! Best wishes.

Hi
As you are probably aware the monitor is basically a 24 hour ECG.
Sinus rhythm is a normal heart beat, ectopy and VE are basically the same thing its in simple terms is a short circuit in the electrical impulse to the heart muscle causing a premature heartbeat usually originating in the sinus node of the right ventricle, the singles comment is to define them as 1 ectopic beat rather than a run of them. Cardiologist tend not to take much notice of them unless they become a serious problem ie prolonged runs of them (Iv`e had a run of 70 in my sleep). When they happen most of the time you`ll not notice them but occasionally they can make you draw a deep breath or you can feel a fluttering sensation in your chest.
