My husband has Ca prostate (thankfully doing nothing) , enlarged prostate, rheumatoid arthritis, controlled hypertension and now atrial fibrillation. He had cardioversion three years ago which corrected the AF but it's back again and cardioversion didn't work this time, the consultant said he's going to have to live with it and has prescribed digoxin. Hubby is 68. Is there anything we should be particularly aware of living with AF? Or anything related to his other conditions and AF? Thanks in advance. Susan

What can be worth doing is having a medication review if you have not had one. When people have multiple conditions they often become a set of conditions and not the unique person. We also react differently to the same medication. I have an excellent independent pharmacist and it can be worth running through things with them as well as your GP s they will have different experiences of patients taking your meds. My pharmacist's suggestion (accepted by my GP) cured the dizziness and nausea I was suffering with increasing frequency.
