Hi this is my first post , didn't think i would ever have to do this! Im 49 yr old male and recently diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Allthou im asymptomatic I'm waiting for more tests cardiac mri/ stress test etc. Im on sick leave from work which is making things financialy difficult to say the least, and still don't know if or when i can go back to work. Would be great to hear from someone who also has been through this

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply its all new at the moment to be honest still in the dark on how bad it is. It was only picked up due to an emergency hospital admission for pneumonia and they did an echo. Physically i feel fine but not allowed to work until i have more tests which take time which is a right pain as my pay has been cut . Joys of working for the nhs!!
