nope sorry not a clue, not going to Google it as I am sure you would have done so already. When is your next appointment with either?
Basically the interventricular septum separates the left and right lower chambers of the heart, known as the ventricles. It sounds as if yours is fairly thin. This could be present from birth or the result of a heart attack. I believe a severe heart infection may also cause it. The septum may ultimately start to leak - this could be minor (pinhole) and asymptomatic or more serious causing breathlessness and elevated blood pressure.
If your GP cannot answer your questions (remember they are not specialists but generalists) you need to talk to the cardiologist. When you have done sot would be good if you could report back for the benefit off other members. Good luck.
