General Rant!

hi my name is Brenda,

I'm 47years old, last week I was in the hospital for chest pains and pins and needles down my left arm. The doctors did an array of test on me including ECG, echogram and finally angiogram. Blood tests came back normal no heart attack detected. The echogram showed that I have a moderate aortic regurgitation, moderate Mitral regurgitation, mild tricuspid regurgitation and trivial pulmonary regurgitation. Then another ECG was done and it spiked so I had to have an angiogram done. the cardiologist carried out the procedure and said "Right happy with the result, her heart is fine to take her off all medication". so I was discharged with no follow-up! this reason why I am putting this post up is I found it really confusing so what about the other results from the echogram? I thought. Now I feel worried so I told my G.P and I have a follow-up in August.

Hi Brenda - sorry for all the confusion, sometimes all the appointments and results can really tie you up in knots! Here's a link to our webpage on heart valve disease if you want to do a little more reading, and at the bottom of the page you can download or order a hard copy of our more detailed booklet for free: bhf.org.uk/heart-health/con...

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Chris
