I’ve been struggling with my weight for all my life. Yo-yo-ing back and forth between two extremes. Having body dysmorphia at 130 lbs and thinking I was obese, to now struggling to stay motivated and disciplined at 190 pounds and needing to lose weight.

If anyone knows a great way to get started on their weight loss journey, and how they stayed motivated. I would really love to hear it. I don’t have access to a gym at the moment but when I do feel motivated I do exercise and run on the elliptical I have for 20 mins.

If anyone could give any tips, I would greatly appreciate it :)

Start off with a simple plan. Try cutting your food servings in half. When I was at my heaviest (180lbs) i decided to take control and started with basic walking down my local park for about 45 mins and cutting out carbs. If I ate fast food I would only get the burger and not the fries. After dropping about 20lbs I started working out at home with videos bcz I wanted to add weight training. I purchased The Firm Time crunch video and I subscribed to Beachbody on demand which has a HUGE library of videos to choose from. I really like 21 Day Fix or Liift4 both approx 30 minutes. Prior to starting I hadn’t worked out in about 14 years. I’m 49 and find that the weight is harder to get off and keep off. Now I like to concentrate on weight training. I want to have a stronger body. I will never be ripped or super sculpted but if I can stay somewhat toned I will be happy. I have also accepted that I will always have my baby pouch, it has reduced but I know I will never ever have a flat stomach or Abs. It’s not easy, it’s all mindset and dedication. For me working out in the morning before my day starts is the only way to get it in. And I am NOT a morning person.

You can do it! Baby steps!
