Can anyone tell me how I can donate my body to the Behcets Society/foundation when I die?

Hi I would think the best people to ask would be at the Centre of Excellence in London. You can find there info on behcets.org.uk.

Bit of a sensitive subject but I can see the reasoning to try to help other in the future. I would be interested in how you get on as I think it could be a good idea.

I've thought of this as well. We must be of some interest because our poor bodies could really help others. The trouble is when you normally donate your body it can be used for anything including cosmetic testing. We may end up looking beautiful but it won't be much use then. I'll ask my consultant next time I see him

Yes I would happily do it too if it helped in any way...please let us know what the answer is. These difficult conversations are often avoided but it's vital to have a plan that our next of kin understand and accept. Jill

Seriously though the Behect's Society Email Info address might be a good place to contact. I use this to ask questions of the medical board as well as the Society in General.

I have often wondered about this....I would like to donate organs but sued they wouldn't want them due to behcets.,..however I know my hearts good

My husband renewed my driving license and thoughtfully decided I would make a great donor. I was a little disturbed by this because I am quite positive nothing would be worth donating? but seriously I wonder if there is a place or organization that would need it for research? I think that's something to think about? Maybe a new tattoo with a warning sign? hmmmmn
