Hi! My name is Holly and I'm the new ambassador for this community. I've been a member of the Fertility Network UK community since I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility back in July 2018. I found that community exceptionally supportive during what was the most emotionally challenging time in my life.
Because Fertility Network UK must remain a supportive community for those still struggling to grow their family, after my successful IVF treatment, it was no longer appropriate for me to reach out for the emotional support I needed in my pregnancy and early days as a mom. I remained a member of the community to offer support, but I didn't have a place to connect with other moms and moms-to-be that had been through anything like what I'd experienced.
My intention as I work to grow this community is to create an engaged supportive, welcoming place to connect and offer/receive emotional support from others who truly understand. I especially hope this community will become a supportive place for people who have experienced low well-being, anxiety, depression, emotional pain and/or trauma on their journey.
If you've been a member of this community for a while and maybe even written a post and found that it wasn't met with the level of response you needed at the time, I'm truly sorry. I'm hoping to change that very soon. If you feel inspired to do so, it would be very helpful to me and current and new members if you'd please take a moment to introduce yourself. Feel free to tell us a little about yourself, your child and why you came to this community. Share as much or as little as you like. Just a simple "hello" to the rest of the group would be great!
