Do you mean hair washed? My son doesn't like anything washed. His head hurts while washing, but his body hurts more. I lean him over the shower and quickly wash his hair then wrap it in a towel. I can't towel dry his hair as it hurts is I leave it wrapped for a while. I don't think there's any other answer, I would love to know myself if there is. Both my children are mixed race, I don't think it makes a difference.

I haven't got loads of experience here but usually mixed race hair is drier than Caucasian so I suggest try washing it less. Also have you thought of styling it in cornrows or some sort of braids? She may, however, find this uncomfortable too. Getting the advice of a hairdresser used to dealing with a variety of racial hair types may be useful.
