My daughter has aspergers and lives in a supported living environment and receives community care. Should she be paying for her care?

Absolutely not! The reason Asperger's Syndrome is a 'problem' is because society is not structured to embrace people who think in a different way from most people. The fault lies with those who make and structure society (governments, etc) - so as they have messed up, they should pay for any 'care' people with Asperger's Syndrome need as a result. People with Asperger's are not 'ill' - they are just different!

If you live in the UK her treatment and care is free.
