Dear Beryl,

Thanks for your help.. I think I have been in touch with them (I think) because there is a doctor there (Harriet knows his long Finnish name) who has done research on auto-immune induced CA, which is suspected in my case. Now I have to work out the insurance bit.

It is poring rain in Jerusalem right now. My husband went to London for an academic conference. this week. He hates his hotel and will be with friends for the weekend. I hope the weather is normal there but I think I have heard on the BBC, that you have had alot of snow. There were delays in Tel Aviv departure because of inclement weather conditions in UK,. L,N

Hi Neta,

There are specialist ataxia centres in London, Oxford, Sheffield & Newcastle in the UK. You would need referral from a GP . ( If you come to the UK you should register with a General Practitioner close to your home address - sorry I don't know whether you have lived here before ). Have a look at ataxia.org.uk

Hope this is helpful, Best Wishes, Dory.

Thanks Dory,

I have never lived in the UK before and have no idea about medical issues. If this comes to fruition, I will be more aggressive in finding out details. Through a quirky coincidence, because of something he wrote which was redlevant to me, and was posted on the Internet, I was once in touch with a British neurologist at Sheffield-- I think that place is closest to CU. Maybe I will meet him some day!!

Best wishes to you too, Neta
