Does anyone know how long it takes to get ataxia gene panel results from Sheffield? Thanks.

Is that full genetic testing or just a certain panel? I had a certain panel done and it took almost a year to get results. Well I saw them in November last year and have just had results; they found the issue in July.

Thank you for your reply. It was for a full ataxia panel about 105 different genes. Might take longer than I thought then, I am just wishing for my results.

🤔 Suzie, I’m interested, was that for other specific Ataxias as well as SCAs.

Yes I think it was. I was not told the exact ones, just that it was ataxia panel of 105 gene types. I think it was all types that can cause ataxia, it is the best place I have ever been to.
