Does any body know if ataxia effects breathing and pains in chest and back

Hi Taz

People with Friedreich’s ataxia can develop breathlessness secondary to cardiac complications but other types of ataxia per se do not cause breathing difficulties. Again Ataxia is not a primary cause of pain in the chest and back.

There are many causes for these. If they are acute onset please see a doctor as soon as possible.
