Hello all, looking for advice

I’d been on here a few Weeks ago for the same thing, but lastnight I started to get a sore throat again, when I last had a Phone Appointment with the Doctor he said that it wasn’t Oral Thrush

I’ve got 2 White Spots in the back of my Throat, my tongue looks slightly white at the back although don’t know if it’s always been like this I’m going to Phone the Doctors again this morning but worried that I’m just wasting their time!

I find dissolving some sodium bicarbonate in water and gargling it clears it up nice and quickly.

I agree with both comments , but with regards wasting a doctors time in my opinion you are not as any problem concerning your health especially as the throat is linked directly to the lungs. Please do not hesitate to call them or ask your asthma nurse for her comments with your problem Good Luck with a remedy.

I think it is thrush (candida). It happens a lot with those of us that use oral steroids and inhalers. I gargle with raw garlic water. If it gets out of hand, one anti fungal pill will get rid of it. Be well!

Hi, I suffer terribly from oral thrush and try anything to cure it but it always comes back. Fluconazole is the best I buy it from wowcher or living social online you can get individual or several, it comes from meds uk so a reputable company. Daktarin or nystatin might help and holland and barrett sell herbal thrush meds. All the gargling brushing and scrubbing hasnt help me.. mine is chronic now to the point my teeth are crumbling. Try a fluconazole if it doesn't cure it go back to Gp or your dentist they might help. Mine gave me a tooth paste and a mouthwash didn't work for me but might work for you. Good luck.

If you don't want to talk to the DR. try your local pharmacist. They are good at things they can see!

It comes in 150 mg tablet just 1 in packet for me it takes 48 hrs to work probably quicker for you. Everywhere sells it can even get with online shopping. If you go out call in pharmacy. I only suggested wowcher because I buy in bulk. You can get online too. Put fluconazole in search box gives you everything you need to know.

I get oral thrush on the odd occasion. I take a steroid inhaler which is the cause. Rinsing out after each inhalation helps. Plus i brush my teeth. Changing your toothbrush regularly especially if having an attack,i put my toothbrush in mouthwash afterwards. I use Daktarin for oral thrush and it definitely helps. Just use as it directs,i try to use it last thing at night. As someone else has suggested might be worth a trip to the chemist first. If you do need to see a GP you are not wasting their time. Thrush can make your throat sore. Hope you get it sorted.

By your description I suspect you have stones. oral thrush makes your tonsils and upper palate white colour. The fact that you noticed two white spots make me think you have stones. They can come for no reason and disappears by themselves. Gargle with salt water 3-4 times a day it does the trick but do not pop them you may cause an infection. Leave nature do its course.
