Anyone with asthma is considered to be at higher risk to this Covid-19 virus as it damages the lungs & it’s been estimated that lung capacity reduces to 20% by people that have been infected & they did not have asthma, I have asthma & I’m in isolation as it’s to risky to do otherwise, I hope this helps you decide

According to Asthma UK's list, your inhaler dose puts you into the shielding group.

However, that's not necessarily the same criteria the government are using. So it might be sensible for you to do so but you may not get an NHS letter telling you to.

There are other considerations, such as how many courses of oral steroids have you had in the last couple of years plus have you had to be admitted to hospital for your asthma in the same period. Those with severe asthma are being asked to self isolate and by severe it suggests periods of uncontrolled asthma requiring medical intervention.

If your asthma is well controlled using minimum treatment then you would fall into the strict social distancing group.
