I'm an asthmatic but it only gets bad during the winter months.
I've been told by my GP to distance myself from social and work from home.
Here is the problem, I'm a tier two emergency worker and I'm required to enter homes that have isolating or distancing occupiers.
I've spoke to my company as my GP requested occupational health to review my case.... however, the company has said it won't.
I won't be paid so I'll lose money but I know I'll be putting myself in harm's way if I continue. I'm very stressed about the whole situation....it's actually making me very ill from worry.
On top of all this my wife has polycystic kidney disease, and I'm more concerned about bringing it home to her.
Can someone advise

Hi Richard. If your employer has refused to provide occupational health review then you can access the same service via 'Access To Work'. It's government run and funded. They will also give you advice from the outset.
Explain at the very outset that your employer has refused to give you an occupational health review that has been recommended by your GP and that you are currently vulnerable at work due to your respiratory illness.
Oh dear I have the same issue. I am a self employed PA to a lady with Learning difficulties. All her activities are cancelled. So she is with me all day at home. She has a sister at a day centre mixing with groups. But its the parents who are the issue. They put their daughters into a larger town company for respite. Last weekend. They went off to Hampshire for the weekend. Visiting places and restaurants. The daughters went to the cinema. Hampshire is one of the high concentration of covid 19 counties. The parents are seeming well 70s. Who constantly go shopping not just locally.
But to the nearest city. They are oldies behaving badly. Very badly. They have seen how poorly i get with chest infections and pneumonias. They get their money from SS direct payments but wont pay me sick pay or if Isolate. So stressed have now found it difficult to sleep.. i understand fully.
