Hi, I used to get them a lot on Seretide. My toes would suddenly spasm & look lik claws. Horrible. Much less often now I'm on fostair though. Two things help me, a couple of swigs of Tonic Water or putting my feet on something cold. It was always worse in summer wearing flip flops. Hope this helps. P

Yeah, it's horrendous. I'd never have believed it could happen. Also I'd never have believed the tonic water would work until I tried it. Magic. 😃

Cramps? Yes! Less when I hydrate and keep moving. And stay warm.

Gosh yes! I am on fostair and after a recent attack, GOP doubled my dose. I now get cramp during night. Will try the tonic water. Guess the quinine in it helps.

Yes - they were very crampy yesterday when I was driving on ice (it really didn’t help). I’m going to try tonic water next time - thanks for the tip xxx

I get foot cramps and arm cramps...almost feels like restless leg syndrome in my arms, quite painful but never associated it with inhalers. Hmmm?

Hubby's awful nightly leg cramps were caused by his asthma inhaler symbicort. He started taking a high (safe) dose of vitamin D3 and his asthma symptoms stopped. He then stopped taking his inhalers as he felt he no longer needed them (thanks to the vitamin D3) Yet he'd had asthma since a boy and has nearly died of it several times. He hasn't used inhalers now for so many months (Though he always keeps an inhaler on him, just in case, never say never,) as soon as he stopped his symbicort inhaler, his 2 years of painful cramps stopped straight away. We then read somewhere that symbicort can actually cause asthma symptoms can you believe ? Vitamin D3 is now known to help some asthma patients, it is also an anti inflammatory.
