Rant: Does anyone else feel like giving up on meds etc.

So just saw my consultant today, and come away feeling so disheartened. "Yes you have real pathology, you must look after yourself, but not sure what else I can do ". I've been in orange peak flow for weeks and fully stepped up, but not taking oral steroids although now in the zone. Consultant "well your chest doesn't sound as bad as it can!!" Take the steroids if you start to feel scared, you know your own body.

I guess all that would be fine if I hadn't paid this guy thousands of pounds for getting a less meds outcome. He says he doesn't know what else he can do and to come back when I am really unwell.

I am now feeling like a stupid child and want to rebel by just stopping all meds. I know that would be stupid, but hey ho, it it's a pretty common reaction for those of us with Asthma.

I hate it , I hate it , I hate it.

The doctors keep giving hope for a better outcome then taking it away.

Sorry you're having a tough time ATM 😞. Completely understand your frustrations so just let it out (from someone who has put up a couple of rants myself it can be very therapeutic!😅). Stick with it and I hope you start to feel better soon. X

Hi Rant I know how you feel, you feel really bad one and maybe ok the next - the Doc gives you the feeling that your making a mountain out of a molehill just because he/she has heard worse lungs than yours does not help- keep taking the med- all the best

Have you thought about seeing a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) doctor and getting a diagnosis from them. They have a wonderful healing system that may surprise you. Please seek out a renowned TCM doctor who his experienced.

...and of course I would recommend you discuss this with your own doctor if you go down the TCM route.
