Asthma issues the last few weeks

Hi everyone!

I've had asthma for most of my life but for the last few years I've not had any issues with it other than if I started running in the cold for a long time.

The last week or 2 I've been forced to take ventolin 2 to 3 times a day because I've been finding it hard to breathe. Though I've also been sneezing and my eyes have been watering. I only get like this now and again throughout the day. Mostly its just when I wake up and go to bed.

Any idea what could be causing this? Its been about 4 years since I've had any issues with my breathing so im a bit concerned. Could this just be Hay fever? Or do you think i need to see a doctor?

Hello and welcome.

I think it could be hayfever/allergy connected, have you tried an antihistamine? I think you should see your GP/asthma nurse anyway, as they'd want to know if you're using your reliever more than usual, and certainly they'd want to know if you're using it more than a few times a week.

Hello!

Mould spores tend to make an appearance about now so itmay be that triggering symptoms. Speak to your gp about getting tested for allergy to them as some asthmatics have issues in the autumn because of this.
