Morning Green Mucus

G'Day all,

I haven't posted for some time.

I'm curious to know sometimes of a night I become hot in bed & have to put 1 leg on top of the bed to cool down, then become hot again & when I wake up some mornings I bring up green mucus, I've had headaches on & off & chest is sore at times too.

Could this be a symptom of a chest infection? this doesn't happen every morning only some?

Any feed back would be great.

I get the same thing in the mornings and find I get quite hot at nights although this could be due to lots of other reasons for me. The best thing is to see your GP as he/she can have a listen to your lungs and tell you if anything is going on.

I've got a pretty good idea of when I have a chest infection but sometimes it can be hard to tell so if you're not feeling good, go see a doctor.

I too wake up in the morning & cough up green yuk, the bit i coughed up this morning had a sml bit of red in. I went to the drs the other day & was told to take inhaler 4 times a day. I have had a cough for about 1mth now, & its not going away.

I think green coloured mucus is a sign of an underlying infection, if its clear or yellow I think thats ok, but green is supposed to indicate something not quite right.

If your concerned about it I'd get along to your doctor and get it checked out, so they can rule out things like pneumonia etc etc
