I know this probably isnt asthma related but...

i need help. Over the weekend, i noticed a small rash on my left cheek, applied eczema cream and thought nothing of it. Later on i was running a mild temp and was shaking. The rash had spread all over the left cheek, across the chin and up on to the right cheek and ear, cough worsened and the general feeling of being lattened by a steamroller.

Today rash is all over my face and neck, I feel like i have the flu or something. Not really eating and the rash is driving me potty. and my eyes are burning. I hve no allergies to anything in the house.

any suggestions to what these symptoms could be?

Sounds like it myight not be allergy. Is it a dry rash? Could be something infectious. You ought to get it checked out by doc asap but when you make the appointment mention you have a rash they might want to isolate you in a separate waiting area. Hope you get it sorted quick and you are feeling better soon. Ange

cheer ange, dont think its contagious, my bfs been looking after me all weekend and been in the same room as me and he hasnt get any symptoms, but i will get this checked.,

the rash is very dry and looks like severe acne but none of the spots are popable and acne doesnt spread this fast lol!

spoke to bfs mom who used to be a nurse. his sister had something similar a few weeks aga, but hers was on her chest and no where elose, she went to the chemist who suggested calamine lotion and antihistamines, gonna try that and if its still there in a few days get in to the doctorsand get it examined.

If you go down to the chemist they are normally good at saying if you need to see gp.

I would to be honest make an appt to see gp as I had something similar years ago on my face and bascally it was an infection. I had a small spot near my ear which i hadnt even noticed and they beleived I had scratched and it was infected and spead across my face and down my neck.

If it is something that is infected rather than infectious then your Bf wont get anything.

Went to the GP this morning. The rash had got so bad that my cheeks and eye sockets were really swollen! Luckily its because of a flu-like virus thats gone in to my system. Been given antihistamines to tackle the rash and itching and the rest i guess is down to bed rest and plenty of fluids.

Thanks for all your support
