asthma and essential tremor.

Hi everyone, I've just joined. I've had asthma for many years, and was recently diagnosed with Essential Tremor, a neurological condition. The problem is that the beta-blocker,Propanolol, which is used to treat ET is very dangerous for asthmatics and can kill. I don't know if there are others here who also suffer from this, but I'd really be interested to know how you cope and what medication you take for the tremor. Thanks, Abeille.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I cant answer your question directly but my GP also wanted to put me on betablockers but wouldnt because they are bad for asthmatics. I just have to put up with my fast heart rate and palpitations.. Perhaps it would be a good idea to go back to your GP and ask for a referral. Good luck and I hope things improve for you.

welcome to the forum,

I get the shakes with my meds and the school children tell me ""why do you shake

when pouring out the drinks some times,

I said be glad you get a milk shake for free haha,
