Hi Haydo, so sorry to hear of your daughter's problems. Have you considered not sending her to school? It sounds as though she really isn't well, & that's probably making her struggle at school. I obviously don't know your circumstances, but if you have a choice to keep her at home at the moment I think i would do it. Our daughter didn't go to nursery or school at all until it was time for secondary school, & she didn't suffer at all. It can be a lovely time if you can home school, & nuture a sick child, working or playing at their pace, doing as much as they feel able, & giving them lots of attention. Ours wasn't particularly ill, we just wanted to home school, but times when she was ill, I remember being grateful that we didn't have to send her out in horrible weather for a long day in company with other children and their germs! Just a thought... Best of luck to you and your daughter, hope you get some help soon.

thnx hun, ive got two other children too so have to be out the door for 815, she was quite naughty today went to reception without her teacher knowing asked the receptionist for her pumps telling them her she ws sent down when she was told she didnt need them! xx

If she's 'with it' enough to go and ask for her inhalers i say good on her. I know it was 'naughty' to go against the teacher but it's her health we're talking about. I thought all inhalers were supposed to be stored in the child's own classroom so they are accessible quickly :-s I also think anyone should be allowed to use their inhaler if they think they want to - how does the teacher / any other person know how the asthmatic is feeling at that time. I know i used my inhaler today (during my dancing lesson) but i'm not sure anyone observing me would have thought i needed it, admittedly i wasn't REALLY struggling but it did help me.

Sorry that's a bit of a ramble LOL
