My finger oximeter has packed up after 10 years, I check my heart rate besides 02 levels as I also have two types of fibrillation as well as my 02 levels am on 02 24/7.
Can anyone reccommend a good make with reliable readings as their appear to be hundreds on the net. I do not mind if itis a bit dearer.
Thanks

I have one that has an alarm for low O2 sats and a waveform readout as well as digital pulse reading - sounds right up your street. Only got it a few months ago and it's a bit fussy about being in exactly in the right place - you can usually tell by abnormally low sats reading but otherwise seems quite good and reliable.
It will also link to PC to keep a log for you - can be handy!
It's made by Contec and I got it from Amazon, it was around £50
With oximeters used as guidance only the cheapest are suitable guides accurate within 3% around £20 gives the chance for more than one if money can be disregarded.
I bought the cheapest one available in 2006 and it is still going strong and staying accurate (measured against the one used at the hospital on each appointment). It measure oxygen saturation and gives a pulse reading.
I got one just the other day from Amazon for my hubby. Ive tried it on myself a few times and it says 99 so Im guessing it must be acurate. Tested it on hubby when he was just sitting in a chair watching TV and it said 92. He sent upstairs for a rest for a short while, came back down and he seemed out of breath as usual and it said 85%. Worrying
Oh forgot to say the one I got was just under £20 and called biosync
Hi again,
Just recalled someone on here who's very knowledgeable (sorry - cant recall name) but they swore by a 'Nonin'. Just looked it up and they have an excellent review, tested by military but are £200+
