Does anyone get headaches with copd i wake with it everyday never did before
I was diagnosed with COPD 11 years ago after being told it was due to asthma and working in an archival retrieval facility with a lot of dust and pidgeon droppings and feathers. I have not suffered unduly with chest infections or other breathing problems other than allergies over the years until shortly before xmas, I had a chest and kidney infection and was forced to make a GP call out to my home my sats were only 81 he said my body had got used to it had it been anyone else and they would have found it difficult to have lifted their head from the pillow and I was sent to hospital and later discharged on oxygen 15 hours. I was told they were hoping to wean me off my oxygen and it was reduced to 1% but I was told that since I was suffering from headaches first thing in the morning it was a sign that I was a co2 retainer.
Early morning headache can be a sign of co2 retention you should seek advise from your respiratory team. You may need your blood gases checked
Best wishes

I also worked for 9 years as a solderer working on IBM computers often soldering onto super glue led joints the fumes were aweful, that was in the days before filters, pcb's and shellac years of working with siilcone glue and paint stripper have not helped either but was never made aware of how badly these can affect you or cause respiratory problems later in life despite the warning labels on products you buy for DIY or craft purposes.
Another possible explanation is your inhaler. I tried a new one last year and got terrific headaches with it.
