I have had COPD for many years, but I find I can just about manage on the two puffers supplied by my surgery.

If you are only 'just about managing' on your inhalers it may be a good idea to go back to your GP for re-assessment as there are new treatments available now that may help you much more than at present.

Maybe you should get an appointment with a consultant then they will do spirometary, bloods, ct scan etc and then you should get a proper diagnosis.

Please call the BLF Helpline - 03000 030 555 - on Monday morning and ask to speak to either Barbara or Muriel (the nurses) - just mention I suggested it. They will have a really good chat with you and probably suggest some things you can speak to your GP about.

I use Spiriva and Ventolin. I may as well just spray the Ventolin staright into the air for all the good it does. But I find the Spiriva helps. I am not on anything else. I hope you can get something that is better for you xxxxx oh and welcome
