Great, at least you have not got to worry about renewing for a while. It's a good thing to have even if you can't always find a parking space.

It's issued for three years at a time under the new system. Well done on getting yours.

We're warned not to leave the badge in the car, as it makes it a target for thieves, which seems odd, as we have to leave it in the car, in open view...!? I keep forgetting to pick mine up when we're setting off. I've had to call back home for it twice now.

I suppose I'll keep it in my handbag...we have 2 cars anyway so it would always be in the wrong car if I didnt lol! The small print at the bottom of the letter said not to keep it in a plastic folder cos the hologram could get damaged if left in sun....I'd already got a folder so I've cut out the plastic cover and left a gap for the hologram...hope that does the job!

I got a new folder from ebay, not having had one before, and cut the corner out so the hologram isn't under the plastic. What's the betting that some smart warden will think it's a forgery, because they can see where I've stuck a hologram on...!

no doubt! God forbid they should make it easy for us lol!

Well done.

parking for blue badge.com is an organisation that does info for Blue Badge holders. They also have (for sale) metal holders for the badge that you attatch to the steering wheel in the car. This means that thieves can't simply smash the car window to get your badge. It is bulky but the single one is sufficient - because thieves want the actual bage not the clock!!! Certainly where I live the holder is invaluable bacause the badges sell for a lot of money.

I think the answer if anyone caught using a badge that is stolen, someone else's, or fake should not only be fined a mandatory £1,000 but also have their car crushed also. That would sort it out as it would concentrate the mind. I am fed up with seeing young people parking and walking with no sign of any disability while I cannot park on a bay and have to park somewhere else, then walk past these lazy b*****ds with my canula on my nose and oxygen bottle on my back.
