Hi Kate, welcome to the group. The 'problem' with COPD is that it is a hidden condition. From the outside, you appear to be fit and well, but you can actually be struggling to breathe and perform normal daily activities, non COPD people; that can also include family, don't appreciate that fact. All you can do is maintain your medication routine, exercise as best you can to retain physical strength, keep in touch via this very helpful site, and plod on. Take care, Richard.
Hello and welcome, Kate. Auntymary
