Can my daughter a single mum claim any benifit for looking after her 4yr old daughter with brittle asthma, on top of her maintance money

Yes there are a number of benefits she should look into.
1. She could claim DLA for her daughter.
2. She might be entitled to Carers Allowance
3. Her and her daughter are entitled to an assessment from social services to see if they can receive any assistance.
4. The CAB would be able to advise more

My 20yr old daughter too has brittle asthma and when she was small we could claim form the family fund to help with incidentals for her i.e. holiday, computer and a deepfreeze so as to freeze toys, bedding ect. hopes this helps
