SBOT is it placebo
it is subject to review in the contract specifications wales.nhs.uk/sites3/Documen...
4.3.4.6 Updated clinical guidelines will recommend a review of the needs of patients
receiving SBOT after one year. However, the pace of patient
review/reassessment will depend, initially, on the number of existing patients
currently receiving a cylinder service who require specialist assessment or
reassessment and the ability of local clinical specialist services to meet local
assessment needs. Therefore, assessment of existing patients currently
receiving short burst oxygen therapy may take some time to complete.
No.
Can you explain your reasons after reading the research documents it would be of assistance if you could give a personal insight into why the no is the correct and balanced opinion for the medical profession.
I get the distinct feeling that there is an 'agenda' behind these questions which seem to be at odds with the usual patient type. I would be happy to explain my 'no' reply from a personal and therefore subjective perspective if you would care to inform us what motivation lies behind the questions and who you actually are? (Not personal details of course but Healthcare Professional, Patient, Administrator etc).
By the way, that report appears to have been written in 2004. Apologies if this is not the case...
