just diagnosed with copd.copd in my family.i want to be tested for alpha 1. ever heard of it?

Hi, did reply once but not sure it got to you, in case it didnt i have alpha 1 anti trypsin deficiency, i was diagnosed 7 years ago when i had pleurisy but lungs did not recover as they should, i was 47 then , its a hereditary condition so best to know so other family members can be tested, if you have any questions or would like to chat about alpha 1 i have learnt a lot over the years and hope i can help. best wishes sally
