I was taken off one of my inhalers a couple of months ago (can't remember which one) as it made me tremble a lot. For the past couple of weeks I have been taking symbicort and I think I have got the tremors coming on again. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what can be done about it?

Hi gillyj - I don't get tremors from medications these days, just get the odd earth tremor on occasion
However, when I was first diagnosed I was only prescribed salbutamol, that's the blue rescue inhaler, I took that 4 times a day, that gave me the shakes or hand tremors. Later I got other more suitable medicines and do not need to use the reliever med now.
I don't take symbicort myself but I am sure others do and will be along to compare notes with you..
Sometimes if you overdose in a medicine the hand trembles may occur, but if you are taking the medicine as prescribed to you and you still get these symptoms I would be talking with the doc about this.
Good wishes. Auntymary
Hi gilly, i take symbicort, i havent been suffering with tremors, though just lately i havent been feeling too good so i have had some shakes, i dont think its the medication though as i never suffered with it before now, keep and eye on yourself and if you do start with tremors again, go back and see your doctor.

Hi..I am on Symbicort..They offered me the 200/6 twice a day but i am instead take the 100/6 4 times a day and it lasts once a month..its 120 doses..I get the Tremors on first taking it,but was worse when i first took it..Not as bad now but still occasional..I have noticed my skin has and does get blotchy at times too..Hardly needed Ventolin since being on this so far which is good...
I am hoping it is going to lessen as time goes on, Its so embarrassing and at first I thought it was the on set of Parkinsons. I am also on spiriva and that makes me really thirsty but I can cope with that.
