I bought a halogen oven (brand new) for £23 !! Plus £13 courier charge and it's been worth every penny and more :) I just love the way it does cheese on toast, so simple and easy. Less electricity used too, than the big oven/grill. Jacket potatoes are delicious, and it cooks a mean, juicy chicken :)

Oh, and the other good news ............. I woke up breathing this morning ! lol :)

I had my two lovely daughters and partner/husband plus two adorable grandchldren for the weekend, plus a barbecue with my lovely sister and big family on Sunday - it was a wet barbecue but good fun, spent lots of money and felt great. The sun is shining in Shropshire today , about to get out the comfy, soft sun chair and lie in the sun. Husbands at work earning lots of money and he's cooking tea tonight too - what more could a girl want

Went to Savill Gardens, just outside Windsor with my lovely daughter and her partner, had a good time, the paths are firm and negotiable. Has a stunning building for entrance, restaurant, shop etc. well worth a visit. The flowers etc were a bit rain battered but who cares? Lots of seats for those that need them; the grassed areas have been left long as ''wild flower' meadows - just like my back garden. Well, that's my excuse for not mowing the lawns anymore!

You are right to be proud of your grand-daughter mandymolloy :) but you should also be proud of yourself for having the patience to pass on your excellent skills to her :)

These blogs are uplifting - good idea Scottyboy. It will inspire any newbies logging in just to prove that there is life after copd diagnosis.

Mandymolloy - I have had to sit in the stall and direct my husband because cooking takes too much out of me now and he is slowly getting a better cook than I was and sometimes I think he knows it !

I went to my allotment and picked runner beans, peas, carrots, kale and broccoli. It's my main form of exercise and I love being outside. I can still dig and hoe as long as I rest now and again.

hi everyone, i`m teaching my son to drive, had spent two evenings going up and down roads on a small industrial estate- a few parked lorries to negoiate i got bored so last night i took him to a housing estate- alot of parked cars but nice wide roads and then he drove home- about 3 miles but he managed a small junction a big junction a single lane humped back bridge a turn right on to a busy road and a left turn on to a busy dual carriage way and then a left turn at traffic lights on to our estate!! He did really well- took things at his own pace but wasnt too slow!! i was really proud of him sandra

excuse me !!! There is nothing wrong with my driving - in fact i know alot of male rubbish drivers !!!! I taught my middle son to drive aswell and hes doing ok !! Eldest was never interested and now lives in sweden so i cant help him and they drive on the wrong side anyway !!! Went out again last night kept passng other learners so i must choose the same routes perhaps i should become a driving instructor --- not sure i could take that much stress !! lol

Thank you for posting this scottyboy, and thanks to all for sharing, so glad to hear Gordon may well return with us whenever he feels he wants to, he will always be welcome here.

Just reading this blog has helped lift my mood :)

we are having a family day out for my birthday, that includes us 2, 3 kids, their partners, their 8 children and our great grandson. we are all going to scarborough, so if you live anywhere near, batten down the hatches, Richard is going with my son, his pregnant wife, 2 of their kids and his wheelchair, in sons car, the rest of us are going on the train. We will be well prepared with macs, packed lunches and buckets and spades, I always like to leave a sand crocodile whenever i go on the beach. As the last time I saw the sea was a year last january I am really excited, I love the sound/smell and feel of the sea on me tootsies. Oh, and the kids might enjoy theirselves as well.

Happy Birthday too you....Enjoy your day...

my daughter has hired a beach hut for the day, its a week on sat so if it rains you can imagine 17 of us huddled inside a tiny beach hut eating packed lunches. My grandaughters birthday is the day after mine so Dionne is ginna get some balloons and streamers to decorate the beach hut. I personally think we should all wear the one piece swimming costimes with the leggings and mob cap, but maybe thats going a bit far..........

You know what everybody...I posted this because i know we all have a disease, and there is a lot of people who dont understand what we go through, but i wanted to show this so when yourselfs or others reading it that Life isnt all doom and gloom...

We manage the best we can..Even if it only means stepping out into the garden for 5 mins to listen too the birds singing or looking at the flowers, its the small things in life that cheers up despite how bad we feel...A BIG mention should go out to those who do live with us or look after us as it must be just as hard for them too..I am not at the stage where i need oxygen yet myself, but i know 1 day it may happen..

This small blog is just to show how great it is too see you all enjoying yourselves in whatever way you do,from baking bread to walking with your familys at the seaside..

I know when i read through some posts/blogs etc it can make me feel down just because of the nature of what we have, but its nice to read some uplifting posts to from time to time also..

My trek went lovely, didnt rain, but a bit muddy and i christened the new trekking trainers by standing in a cow pat lol..Done a good 7 miles and feel battered now so will sleep tonight..

Sunday am off down to Somerset, then on the way back stopping off at Western Supermud for a stroll before heading home..Hope rain stays off,but hey who cares..Bit of sea air will do me good and some fish and chips will too...

Thanks for your replys everybody...Stay positive..Take care..xx

Fantastic positive idea!

Well I'm feeling very pleased with myself because I've just got back from the Olympics with hubby and children. It was great! Must admit I was concerned about so much walking around and I'm shattered now but it was worth it. The children had a great time too and something to remember. The atmosphere was wonderful, everything was organised efficiently, and we even had some sunshine!
