I was diagnosed with mild C OPD 3months ago my breathing isn't much of a problem yet. But should I keep getting tired?
Hello Marriane, I am pleased your breathing is not a problem. The short answer is yes, COPD can cause tiredness, but then so can many other things. I would suggest you have a chat with your doctor next time you see them about what you should expect and what may be something else entirely. Good luck.
Hello Marianne and welcome to our group.
Tiredness seems to be a common problem for people living with COPD, but, like auntymary, I would also suggest that you discuss it with your gp or respiratory nurse.
I was like you up to February of this year, always nodding off at every opportunity, until I was diagnosed as being a 'co2 retainer' and prescribed use of a BiPAP machine overnight. Since February I have had more energy than I have had for years and I love my little machine
I hope you manage to find a solution for the problem and wish you well.
Hi Val
Hi Marriane,
Unless there are any lifestyle factors contributing to your tiredness ( eg. late nights, sleep problems, stress, overwork, depression) then I would suggest you discuss this with your GP. It is unlikely to be the result of your copd . Mild copd rarely shows any symptoms which is why most people get to the severe / very severe stage before they are diagnosed. P
I was diagnosed with mild and
I did have symptoms,
breathing problems,
that's why I went to the doctor.
I would like to ask a light-hearted question
why is it diag-nosed?
and not ears, eyes or faced
diag-ears, diag-faced,
what does nose have to do with this affair?
I know my one resembles a Jersey potato and is thus prominent
but spare a thought for the other senses when making up these words God will ya
still.... it's all Greek to me
Ha, ha, ha
