I'm 27 I smoked weed for 6 years and vaped for 8 years (cut cold turkey). My doctor didn't give me a stage just says stop smoking and you'll live a "long life". I just went to hear people experiences and best practices. I'm nor ready to clock out yet or any time soon. Any advice welcomed or questions.

Congratulations on stopping smoking. If you carry on NOT smoking your COPD will will stay at a steady pace that you can cope with. Have a long good life and stay healthy.

Congratulations on giving up, I know it's not easy. I would say staying fit is the most important thing. Exercise, exercise, exercise and everything else in moderation. Be mindful of what you eat and your weight. I wish you a long a healthy life. x

Your young still don't mess up the biggest chance you have been given in your life for yourlong term health..l..

Keep off the smoking etc, and your body still has an excellent chance of a long healthy life....

Unfortunately most of us when youngish never think about copd, asthma and other lifelong lung problems caused from smoking etc..i know if I could go back I would never have touch cigarettes etc but it's too late now...

So go do everything you want in life, enjoy as much as you can while you have a good chance to change your bad health habits...

Wishing you healthy and happy long life....

I have COPD likely caused by smoking. I am 80 and on ambulatory oxygen. Totally recommend you stop smoking. At the moment I am sort of ok but due to oedema quickly get out of breath. If you stop smoking you can avoid this and I would recommend that you do.
