Hi, my husband has problems and can’t walk very far because he becomes very breathless and has chronic back pain. He has COPD, sarcoidosis, heart disease and an L2 wedge fracture. Things are often difficult.
Take care xxx
I think a lot of us with lung disease have difficulties with mobility.i use controlled pursed lips breathing technique - u can find this on aluk website
Hi - Yes I have COPD/Anta abd Mitral valves that are leaky - Angina. and AF, Spine and Cervical Soine problems. Brathlessness is Dyspnea.
I am worse walking this year because of my heart and lung conditions making it harder for me to breath, in particular when walking, on top of that I have Pain when walking with my spine problems.
In short I am worse this year than last, visit to the seaside was really testing. But I am a year older.
I think Mojo17 with Heart Failure and COPD, that can hinder your walking, If things are getting worse, might be a good idea seeing your GP to see if there is any help for your worstening breathing.
Time to think about a mobility scooter, I use mine all the time at least I can get out
Yes, I have both heart failure and COPD, and I believe a long infection by a bug, Staphylloccus Aureus, caused my Bronchiectasis. Also, I believe a stint in hospital with pneumonia and pleurisy, may have caused my heart failure.
I also have acid reflux, and I've read that stomach acid getting into the lungs, can cause lung damage, Bronchiectasis.
