Change of meds, changed my wellbeing

Hi all,

Just an update, after a move of health authorities I have after 5 months eventually had my meds changed to a Simicort inhaler and what a difference it is making to my symptoms of breathlessness.

I am sleeping beyond therefore have more energy, I can exercise without having to stop regularly.

I have also had an X-ray and appointments this month to have bloods done and an ECG.

I’ve been referred to a consultant and await a spirometry test.

I feel I am at last being listened to and in turn have a better quality of life.

It pays to be tenacious .

One of the virtues of this group is, we learn from each other what’s possible, treatment-wise. I’m SO pleased life is better for you 😊 It goes to show how important it is to persevere. We shouldn’t have to keep nagging for the best treatment, but it can make a massive difference.

So pleased for you! Amazing to have your life open up again. Thanks for sharing too, I've never heard of Simicort inhalers so will be asking my doctor about this to see if it might help me.

Fantastic news Mamabear , so pleased to hear that you are feeling well at last. Enjoy your new lease of life x

Thanks for the update. I never knew that there was an alternative to Trelegy or Trimbow so this is news to me and I've logged it as an alternative.

That's the great thing about this site, sharing experiences and knowledge 😊
