The best Medicine in the world for the soul is laughter.

Along with good friends and genuine love and care, there is no better a formula ever invented.

I have been missing for a while taken to hospital on blues and twos AND i AM STILL HERE thanks to the team who took care of me and their mutual flare for laughter.

My philosophy is this, I ye canni laugh at yersell share the joke and help aw body feel the power.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses who made my stay as good as the Edinburgh fringe daily and lifted my spirits which were dragging behind me.

You were all a dose of refreshing joy and you deserve a blooming BIGGGG Pay rise.

Love to you all on site and remember, A giggle a day keeps Crippin away

I hope you’re soon back to the best you can be. I too agree that laught is the best medicine, and prescribed meds can’t work on their own if your mind is in the wrong place. I two have been blues and twos to hospital this year, twice, for a one week stay then seven weeks. On week 3 of my last admission (I had pneumonia) my blood pressure dropped dramatically and my temperature rose to 40+ degrees. I was really sick. Lots of drs came just to look at me, because I didn’t know how sick I was, but was always laughing and smiling. It was only when my outpatient lung consultant came to see me when I was on the mend, that he told me how sick I’d been! My lasting memory was that I was sat in my chair and a sister from the crash team came running in because my obs had fed directly to her, and was surprised to see me out of bed and chatting, and on a less medical note, 2 HCAs changed my bed on that memorable day and sent my phone, which was somewhere on the bed, off to the laundry, never to be seen again!

Alas poor phone. I hope you're well on the mend and will stay that way for a very long time. xxxx

I’m definitely well on the mend, although I’m waiting surgery for a pressure sore that I got last May and hasn’t healed. The surgeon I saw said it will be day case surgery. I’m definitely a cup half full person.

Good to hear that. Pressure sores are beastly. Hope they can get rid of it permanently. xxx

So do I! There’s no pain, but it has to be dressed by a district nurse every other day. It is so tieing because I never know what time they will arrive, any time up to 4.30.

Grrr! I hate waiting in for people. You can't even do a bit of gardening or cleaning in case they arrive while your hands are grubby, As for going to the loo....

Waiting in is really restricting. Making lunch is a problem too.

Bliss2, I can't look after myself, My wife gets flustered everytime I try to stand up!! all I hear is SIT DOWN YOU SILLY MAN!!

While the second part of her comment may be true the first part is practically impossible any way.

Hospital gave me a bottle of Morphine oral solution it`s good but it does nothing for noise.##

Hope you are feeling good just now and that your OP, done the trick...

Love, Tom
