Since quitting smoking….

Hello all, it’s been three months since I quit using patches. I’ve been patch free for four days now.

My questions- did any of you have the taste of nicotine on your lips?

Have the smell of nicotine on your fingers?

I have both and it’s driving me mad.

Thank you

Congratulations. You are doing very well. I've never smoked, so I can't answer your question, except to say that, when my dad cut back severely in his old age, his fingers became a lot less nicotiney looking.

When I packed up smoking 37 years ago, my senses of taste and smell became more acute for a while. Good for better taste, but generally most smells around are bad. These acute senses will wane, can't remember how long it took.

well done !!! It’s not easy and plagues the brain for a while. I hope like me, you soon find it’s all out of your system and then no longer in your head. X

I quit last April and don’t remember any taste, took a while for my brain to adapt and stop telling me I wanted one, but now I don’t think about it except to think how glad I am I stopped and how I hate the smell nowadays! Good luck, you can do this x
