hi guys on my ct findings it said I had a nodule and scattered cysts. I know they suspected restrictive , back ground basically had loads of tests as my oxygen drops low when walking them as soon as I sit or stand still it goes up in the 90s , occasionally if walking fast I am sob I’m just not sure what to make of the ct at the bottom of the scan it said Unremarkable appearances of the imaged upper abdominal volume.

Best wishes. I hope 'unremarkable' means there is nothing to worry about.

Hope you have an appointment with consultant soon so they can explain the results to you. It sounds incredibly frustrating that you’re left trying to work things out for yourself, but hopefully “unremarkable” is a good thing!

unremarkable sounds good, my O2 crashes with exertion but comes back up too about 95 after a few minutes of inactivity and my consultant is o/k with this. He said he would be concerned if it didn’t come back up as soon as I rested. It is normal for O2 to drop on exertion and there are numerous conditions that can make it drop more than the expected average, as well as numerous x-ray, CT scans and broncoscopy I also had a heart ultrasound which found a leaky valve which can also cause O2 to drop. Don’t try and workout if you have a problem Dr Google can be rather vicious, wait for you doctors to advise you, if you are concerned contact them and ask.

I’m lucky my hospital and GP records are all on the same system so they can all see my results, even the staff at my hospice can see them

It’s a nightmare I’ve only been diagnosed last November and like you no one has actually sat me down and explained fully. I’ve had to guess from the results letter they sent. I think it’s bad how they send you a copy of what’s sent to your doctor it’s very frightening, I googled it all and gave myself 1-2 years to live, I’m hoping that’s not correct lol

What did they say was wrong ? I’m hoping they gave you medication ? I’m under a London hosp now he was suppose to video call me but didn’t , I copy paste the letter n googled but it’s still confusing

The worst thing you can do is google lol. All I’m being told is I have emphysema and at first it was the end of the world to me but after finding this group I’ve been a lot less anxious and learning more about how to cope with it x

I’ve had a cough since 2019 that’s the only symptom I’ve ever had , I’ve never been wheezy etc I always said I feel it more in my throat but they just kept saying it’s emphysema or your asthma , it wasn’t till I had a coughing episode and my lips went dark purple I went drs and in there my oxygen was 86 then went up to 95 she said go to hosp. For tests suspected blood clot plus my heart rate was over 100 and I was just sitting still , that’s when I had more tests etc now the tests come back okayish apart from the blood gas exchange is low

I’ve had a cough for years but back in September I was really struggling to breathe but kept blaming it on the fags. My son said to go to doctors as it might be chest infection. They thought it was a blood clot because my mum passed from a clot but I told them that my mums clot was from the covid jab. Anyway a week later, 2 lots of antibiotics, steroids, ecg, X-ray and 3rd visit bact to a&e after another X-ray they found out it was pneumothorax. Then after ct scan a month later was told it was emphysema and here I am lol

It’s crazy , I’ve had X-rays they come back normal the only thing that’s been flagged is dlco is low and some one said restrictive
