I have had my LFT recently and waiting for results, 3/01/24

With my consultant, I know there is numbers/ range but don’t understand?

What should I be hoping for?

what should I be concerned about?

thanks Trevor

the LFT is a guide to see if your lung performance changes, the first one is your benchmark and subsequent ones will show any changes. There are a set of averages based on age etc. which doctors use as a comparison. The only one I remember was that an average 70 year old male in good health should manage 500 on a peak flow, I can only manage about 200 but it’s been like that for several years now
