I will answer this post with a photo of Bobby who is a year younger than Coco.

Introducing the bully named Bobby - he goes to the she and pushes his head to her to be rubbed - she won't have none of that,

All because he wants Coco to rub his head , he growls. when rejected.

She is fluffy, when she is washing herself I always think "all that hair" in her mouth. in particular when she is moulting.

They are both beautiful cats Ern and proper characters, too, by the sound of it! Cats are good company in my book. I was always a dog person before but my lot converted me😀

As a youngster my parents always got dogs - We had one cat and that was a white Persian type called Smudge, I was about 9 years old at the time. When I got married. we have always had cats, Anne used to just get ginger ones. Cats are no trouble at all. I get in trouble for giving to many Dreamies

My friend next door is also a ginger cat fan. I prefer black cats myself, maybe it’s the witch in me😀 Mind you , I haven’t told my “wild child” tabby cat that but then she just turned up wanting a home, so I didn’t have any choice in the matter😀

That's a lovely pair you have there Ern. Smudge is an unusual name for cats I believe, perhaps I have a reincarnation of your Smudge. I sometimes think she's been around a lot longer than her 7 or 8 Years. 😀

I don't think cats ever look old Donald - Smudge was what my mother caller her, common name then was Tibby for a cat.

How lovely to have two! And they are beauties! We had three at one time (all females - mother, daughter and an infiltrater who came along much later). They were all characters. The younger one, when a kitten, would try and suckle the daughter of the eldest and she'd get a mighty swat for her trouble!

Now we have 14 yr old Socks, and she's an interesting character too. Sometimes she's SO loving but when it doesn't suit her, she can give a swift aggressive bite. She does like to give lovebites as well, so it's easy to get caught out when her mood suddenly changes.

Wouldn't be without her, though. She spends most evenings on my lap, or on my husband's if I'm not there.

Sounds like you have fun - she cat does not bite, if you catch her unawares and she does not like it, she can scratch, very rare though.

I love our Socks, but I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of her - or be a mouse! She has very sharp claws and even sharper teeth and she may be old but she has a turn of speed I would die for! 🐾🤣xx Moy

There was a black and white cat called Socks that lived next door to us in our old flat!

They turned those flats into an air b and b place and when I found out I wasn't surprised!

To be fair I feel that by accident they did me a favour when they evicted me!

I see Pepparuby the black panther has come out of hiding!

At the pharmacy where I lost my job last year one of the technicians has a pedigree cat who is 16 and she had a birthday party for him with a cake with 16 on it!

She had said how the managers at that pharmacy don't know how to speak to staff properly as there's ways and means of speaking to people without being nasty!

All that was over was because my face didn't fit there and was nothing to do with my supposed poor performance which they had made up!
