Hi has anyone had any side efects of taking Vairux pesseries my hair seems very brittle could these be a problem

"I had had no side effects at all from Vagifem. Then halfway through the second month my hair started coming out in handfuls everytime I washed it.

I was already thin on top - at this rate I will have to get a wig! I'm putting it down to the drug as this is one of the known side effects.

I've stopped it and am considering getting one of those laser brushes and well as minoxodil. My diet is already healthy.

Just wondered if any one else had experienced it and what they did about it. Thanks."

This must be very distressing for you. Have you spoken to your GP about it? I've been on Vagifem for some years now with no such side effects. Suzy xx

Hi, I have been using this for years with no adverse effect. I'd mention it to your GP.

Some years ago my hair falling out turned out to be just one symptom of an overactive thyroid.

It could be simply a seasonal thing but I would mention it to your GP just in case.

I don't use them but do suffer hair loss.i gently massage my scalp to encourage blood flow and use a wide tooth comb to avoid tugging+ I airdrie as heat is damaging.i do take omega3+ multivit& mineral supplements but I have to take hi dose vit c daily - if I don't my hairless increases.hope these tips help.i would see gp too x
