Steroid withdrawal symptoms

Have been on a long steroid course, am now completely stopped. has anyone had problems with itchy small red spots, worse at night?

I have had many courses of steroids, some of them prolonged. I've never had a problem with a rash. I think it's worth informing your doctor or nurse and possibly your pharmacist. Hope you get some reassurance and diagnosis.

has been diagnosed as a form of eczema, after withdrawal of the steroids allowed increased inflammation, and should die down as immunity, and cortisol production, return to normal.

Sorry to hear about this after effect.

My husband begun suffering from eczema and I have found that a solution of bicarbonate of soda and water, works better than any steroid creams to treat it. Clears it up really quickly.

Thanks for that tip, would that be a fairly strong solution?

A teaspoonful of bi-carb mixed with some cold water into a loose paste - not too runny and not too thick. Then use some cotton wool to dab on to the affected area of the skin.👍
