Hi T_Lady
It sounds like you could have sleep apnoea. I have it and I have to use a CPAP machine whenever I go to sleep. I still have very complex health issues, but the CPAP machine helps me to get a good nights sleep.
Speak to your GP and ask if you can be referred for sleep tests. The sleep clinic will ask you to fill in a questionnaire, known as an Epworth Sleepiness scale and depending on the results, the sleep clinic will give you a monitor to wear, to see if you have sleep apnoea.
Regardless, you definitely need to speak to your GP very urgently, as stopping breathing is extremely serious. Good luck to you.
many thanks have called surgery have appointment tomorrow the copd nurse will call me, I am not under her though, so also I will call my own expert copd nurse as I do when I need help and advice. Joan x
excellent reply from Lydia Rose. Please check in with Your gp or you respiratory team could arrange it as the sleep clinic is part of the respiratory team.
Good luck

many thanks I have nurse calling me tomorrow from my surgery, and I will also call my copd nurse for help. Joan x
Following as I’ve experienced this a few times.
That's great Joan. I hope that everything works out fine for you. God Bless x
I hope you get to the bottom of this. I had a 'sleep study' some years ago. It was a bit weird! I had to go to the JR hospital in Oxford where I was covered in wires (with the sticky pads like ecg wires) then put to bed! I thought I wouldn't sleep but managed ok.
How'd u get on with nurse t lady
Hi Patk1 I have just posted, thanks for asking. x
Interested in what your nurse has said - Ill look it up. From your post directly above this one the only thing which occurred to me was that your oxygen had dropped, which fits with the OSA suggestion above.
